This past fall I second shot this dreamy wedding in Duluth Georgia at the Payne Corley House. Not only was this wedding beautiful, but it was filled with so much emotion and beautiful moments. My favorite thing to do on a wedding day is be a fly on the wall and capture moments that often go unnoticed. Second shooting usually allows me to do this, and I am just too in love with these moments not to share.
Moments before
One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is getting to spend time with the bride and groom before they walk down the aisle. Everyone has different emotions and ways they process things, and it is so fun to capture.
This bride was calm and composed, but excited. She spent the morning with her bridesmaids in the cutest bridal pajamas. These shots of her smiling and writing her vows are some of my favorites because they show the moments every bride gets to spend with herself before the rush of their big day.

Pre-ceremony preparation (tequila shots)

Remember when I said everyone has different emotions and ways they process things? This bridal party was full of EXCITEMENT! Before the ceremony the grooms mom came up with a bottle of tequila and the girls and the moms sang and passed the bottle around. It felt like something out of Mamma Mia.

The details

second round of portraits
The second round of bride and groom portraits were just too fun. The theme of excitement carried through, and rather than just posing the couple we documented.
I love when couples are so in love that we can sit back and capture this without lots of prompting. Poses will always be there, but the moment will not.
cocktail hour and reception
This may be an unpopular opinion but I LOVE shooting cocktail hour. I love seeing all the guests show out in their cute outfits, and the couple make their entrance.
