A bit of luck
Branding photos are one of the best ways to refresh your businesses look, and gather photos you can use over and over again. For my shoot, I knew I wanted to use a studio but I wanted to avoid the rental fee. For this step I got a bit lucky because I won a giveaway with The Lightroom Athens. The studio was beautiful and offered all the space I needed.
After the shoot, we even got to chat with one of the owners, and learn more about their setup, how they operate, and some of the brands they have worked with like Creature Comforts (my personal favorite).
Set up an exchange
There is a good chance you are going to want to edit your photos anyways, so rather than paying another photographer for RAW files just set up an exchange! If you post something on your story asking if anyone else needs brand photos there is a good chance 5 other photographers will swipe up. For the exchange, you can just give each other your RAWS.
Just make sure you pick someone you trust, especially because it can feel weird to be on the other side of the camera at first.

Shop in your closet or someone else's
Now I know how badly you want to buy a new outfit for your session, but give your closet a chance! And, if you don't like your closets check out a friends. Your outfit should reflect the tone of your business, so keeping it simple and adding in accessories may be easier.
If you must buy something new go to your local thrift store. If you live in Athens Georgia, I definitely recommend the uptown cheapskate here it is always stocked.
edit your own photos
Now I know what you're thinking. Isn't this a no brainer? But, if you usually hire an editor or maybe you want a new preset, this isn't the time. Your branding photos should have the same editing style as your work. You are going to want them to match your feed, and be an example of the work you can do. This is why doing an exchange and editing your own photos is so important!
